Hong Kong Inter-School Mock Trial Championship
In 2016, 24 schools from around the city sent teams to compete in the competition. During two exhilarating days of competition, over 200 student participants argued an explosive murder case in front of judges drawn from the Hong Kong legal community. Upon seeing the talent and determination of the student participants, the organizers resolved to find a way to bring Hong Kong mock trial to the global stage.
Largest Mock Trial Competition in Hong Kong with 24 Participating Schools
The competition, which is now in its forth year, has involved over 400 participants over the years, and has helped nurture budding lawyers and public speakers across Hong Kong. With overwhelming response and applications, we are having 24 school teams joining this year's competition at the University of Hong Kong on April 29 & 30.
Official collaboration with Empire Mock Trial
The Hong Kong Inter-School Mock Trial Championship is partner organized with Empire Mock Trial — a prestigious international mock trial organization — to give the HKISMTC champions an opportunity to compete at the International Mock Trial Championship in the U.S. against the best teams in the world!
Winning Team 100% sponsored to Compete Abroad
Last year, we helped to take the winners of the competition to the global stage. The winning team of HKISMTC 2016, St. Pauls Convent School, went on to compete in the Empire Mock Trial Tournament held in New York City. The team represented Hong Kong admirably, winning three ballots as it faced off against top champion teams.
