Our Team

Anthony attended German Swiss International School (GSIS) for his pre-university studies. After his time at GSIS, he undertook his undergraduate studies at the University of Edinburgh where he read Law – graduating from Edinburgh with Upper Second-Class Honours and a subject prize for achieving the top performance in his year. For his postgraduate studies, he recently completed his Masters of Laws at the University of Hong Kong, ranking 2nd in his year with Distinction honours.

Anthony discovered his passion for education during a volunteer trip in Chiang Mai, Thailand, where he spent some time at a local village teaching English to Thai students. This experience of bridging cultures, educating the next generation and seeing the moment when it “clicks” for a student inspired him to pursue his TEFL qualification upon returning to Hong Kong.

After becoming a certified English teacher, Anthony has since accumulated over 7 years of teaching experience. He has worked with private students of all ages from both local and international school backgrounds, predominantly as an English language and literature instructor. Anthony has a wealth of experience with syllabuses including IB, A-Level, I/GCSE, entrance exams for international schools and boarding schools, as well as standardized tests such as IELTs and TOEFL. He can also support students throughout the school application lifecycle - from strategizing which schools to apply for, tailoring CV and ECA choices, to assisting with personal statements and interview preparation. His educational philosophy is centered around finding a balance between passion and practicality. Inspired by his experiences at law school, Anthony endeavors to encourage thoughtful and often Socratic, dialogue with his students.

At ARCH, Anthony will be guiding students preparing for the IB in subjects such as English Language and English Literature. He will also be working with students in their efforts to succeed in SAT and entrance assessment as well. 

Outside of the classroom, Anthony takes part in outdoor activities such as playing basketball, hiking, and swimming. On a lazy weekend, he enjoys reading, listening to music, and spending time with family and friends.
