Our Team

Apurva graduated with a BSc. in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). Recently, she joined the Master of Public Health (MPH) program at the Jockey School of Public Health of The Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Apurva’s fascination with science started at four, when she unintentionally bit the dentist at a routine check, or at seven trying to pronounce doctor’s prescriptions, or at fifteen trying to understand the mechanism of ibuprofen. She is passionate about science and would love nothing more than to share this passion in both practical and academic terms to inspire everyone, especially for the younger generation who is curious to learn about their own anatomy and the environments. During her postgraduate studies, Apurva has been a part of academic research in areas involving cancers, neuroimaging, tissue engineering while working freelance with students as needed.

For the past 10 years, she has worked with volunteering tutor programs, peer tutoring programs, at tutoring centers, as well as found students through freelancing to build her experience as a tutor in biology and chemistry. Apurva loves to share stories and persuade others with logic, data, and expressive communication, spending over 8 years in debate across high school and undergraduate years. She aspires to share these skills while building her experience further with ARCH.

Outside academia, Apurva can be found making memes, passionately debating on any possible tangent, sharing hilarious stories as a standup comedian, or being a dedicated mother to her cat Xena. She also enjoys opportunities to support with NGOs regarding mental health, minorities, accessibility to health, and pet/cat charities.

At ARCH, Apurva teaches Biology and Chemistry to students at all levels.
