Our Team

Iván holds a Bachelor of Arts in Audiovisual Communication from San Pablo University of Madrid and a Master in Education in teaching Spanish as Foreign Language at Pontifical University of Salamanca, both in Spain.  In addition, he is a qualified examiner of DELE (Spanish as foreign language diploma) for young learners at all levels (from A1 to B1) and for adults (from A1 to B2). Since 2019 he had the role of DELE chief examiner in Hong Kong.

Iván has been teaching Spanish language and Hispanic culture in Hong Kong since 2009. He has worked extensively at 3 different learning centers instructing different sorts of students, ranging from primary, teenagers with GCSE´s, A-Levels and IB preparation, as well as adults, including corporate language training to professionals at Spanish MNC´s and banks with offices in Hong Kong.  Besides, he has been teaching in-curricula Spanish B and Ab Initio at an IB International School since 2015.  Moreover, he also has taught adults since 2013 in a Hong Kong Continuing Education establishment, and lectured undergraduates in 2 Higher Education institutions.  At ARCH, Ivan is a passionate Spanish language instructor focusing on students’ exam preparation.

Iván enjoys very much traveling, spending time with his son Lucas, reading and shooting photos.  Besides, he is a music and films enthusiastic, and finds very rewarding practicing water sports, cycling and riding his motorcycle.
