Our Team

Kristin is a recent graduate of Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, where she studied Chemical and Biomedical Engineering, with a concentration in Cellular and Molecular Biotechnology and completed a minor in International Relations and Politics. During her time at Carnegie Mellon, she worked in an immunoengineering lab group where she did lab work and computational work and completed her first publication.

Kristin grew up going to public school outside of Detroit, Michigan, in the US where it seemed impossible to pursue elite STEM education and research as she always had dreamed. After figuring out college applications on her own, she was admitted to a number of elite engineering programs and chose to attend Carnegie Mellon University. At Carnegie Mellon, Kristin has worked within the American Society of Chemical Engineers (AIChE), Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES), and Society of Women Engineers (SWE) as a mentor in order to increase accessibility of underrepresented groups within engineering. She is passionate about STEM education and hopes to assist students in their pursuit of elite STEM education and research.

Kristin is excited to work with students looking to pursue higher education in the United States and provide guidance as to how to best achieve their future goals.

Outside of the office Kristin enjoys music and plays several different instruments. She is a former competitive swimmer and has completed multiple half marathons. She also enjoys cooking, reading, and traveling.
