Margeaux Perkins

University of Chicago
Senior US Consultant

Margeaux graduated from the University of Chicago with Honors in Theater and Performance Studies and English Language and Literature. She minored in Germanic Studies and is fluent in German. At UChicago, Margeaux was active in multiple theater organizations, trained in both classical theater and modern improvisation, and studied under acclaimed directors, writers, and performers. Her English interests were both critical and creative; she focused her analytical work on feminism in the fairytale genre and female relationships within classic and contemporary English and American literature, winning the Dunn Research Prize for independent research on her undergraduate thesis. As for her creative work, she wrote mostly non-fiction memoir and personal essays and was a frequent and regular contributor and editor of many on- and off-campus publications. She was also a member of Delta Gamma Fraternity at UChicago, with which she performed charity work for multiple blind service organizations.
While at UChicago, Margeaux taught independent courses on acting, writing, and feminism to Chicago Public School students. Before ARCH, she worked for Simon & Schuster, Inc., a major publishing house in New York, Encyclopaedia Britannica, for which she contributed articles to both the online and print publications, and College Humor Media, a group of popular humor websites based in New York.

At ARCH, Margeaux counsels students interested in attending boarding schools and universities in the U.S. Her students have received offers from a variety of prestigious U.S. boarding schools and universities with scholarships. Additionally, she is proud to work with students from ARCH’s nonprofit organization, ARCH Community Outreach (ACO).
