Sean Massa

Yale University
Senior US Consultant & US Test Prep Instructor

Sean graduated from two Ivy League universities, obtaining his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Pennsylvania and his Master of Arts degree form Yale University. At Penn, Sean majored in Health and Societies, concentrating in Global Health. During his studies, he studied comparative health abroad in Vietnam, South Africa, and Brazil. At Yale, Sean studied Ethics and Religion with an interest in the intersection of social ethics, religion, and international affairs. During summer break, Sean worked as an intern with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Indonesia, focusing on increasing educational engagement of refugee youth.

Sean has received undergraduate and graduate acceptances from elite US universities that include Yale, Columbia, Penn, Harvard, Cornell, Emory, Vanderbilt, and UC Berkeley. As an instructor, Sean works one-on-one with students to identify personalized test-taking strategies and strengths. When in high school, Sean received various accolades from the College Board including National Hispanic Recognition for his PSAT/NMQST score and a National AP Scholar award for having an average score of 4 or higher across ten AP exams.  Since 2014, Sean has worked with middle and high school students on SSAT, SAT and ACT prep at a leading tech-based education consulting firm in the San Francisco Bay Area. Following graduation from Penn, Sean continued to develop his passion for teaching as a university lecturer through a prestigious Princeton in Asia fellowship.

With a passion for international affairs and education, Sean takes personal interest in engaging diverse cultures and languages. While at Penn, he was deeply involved as a teaching assistant for intercultural and interfaith programs. As a master’s student, Sean continued his passion in a student government role as the elected Diversity & Inclusion chair of the Yale Senate, where he advocated for diversity groups on campus. As a polyglot, Sean hopes to indulge in learning Cantonese and Mandarin. Currently, he speaks Spanish, Portuguese, and Indonesian.

At ARCH, Sean applies his academic expertise in both education consulting and test prep instruction. As a consultant, he uses his insights as a dual-Ivy League graduate in supporting students gain admission into competitive top-tier US universities.
