Our Team

Clarissa completed the International Baccalaureate program at a local secondary school, giving her an in-depth understanding of the support provided by Hong Kong schools and existing gaps that need to be bridged for students who aspire to study abroad. She then went on to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Comparative Literature at University College London, graduating with first class honours and with a dissertation that was the winner of the departmental Svetlana Boym Student Prize, before going on to tackle a Master’s degree in English & Comparative Literature at Columbia University.

With both parents pursuing careers in education, specialising in arts subjects, Clarissa grew up influenced by their love of the literary world and inspired by their dedication to mentorship. Constantly encouraged to read, she developed an attachment to languages and literature, which flourished when she attended a summer abroad program in literature at Cambridge University, spurring her to study both IB English and Chinese Literature at Higher Level. 

In our increasingly global era where multilingual literature is finally receiving the attention it deserves, Clarissa’s biggest ambition is to continue to empower new generations of literary lovers to come, as well as to follow in her parents’ footsteps as counsellor and educator. After college, Clarissa started her career in US and UK college admissions consulting, acting as a guide to middle and high school students to uncover their academic passions and directions.

At ARCH, Clarissa will specialise in English and English Literature tutoring, as well as assist in the advising on UK university admissions.

Outside of work, when she’s not going on long walks to relax or catching up with friends, Clarissa spends her time discovering new musical theatre hits and re-watching classic sitcoms. You can also often find her browsing the shelves or enjoying a latte at local bookstores-turned-cafes.
